Terry Griffin and Lee Smalley formed Griffin Smalley Inc. in 1979 and grew the firm rapidly into a successful independent insurance agency specializing in risk management solutions for the construction, food processing and distribution, and metal working industries. The agency’s later acquisition of the Wilkerson insurance agency cemented GSW’s presence and expertise in these industry specialties, and the company grew to develop strong Personal Lines and Employee Benefits divisions.
