January 2024

November 2023

The Construction Association of Michigan Workers’ Compensation plan (CAMComp) is a group self-insurance program designed specifically for the construction industry. CAMComp focuses on fostering high levels of workplace safety, helping to maintain lower premiums. They also invest those premiums, and at the end of each year if premiums exceed claims paid, CAMComp returns the difference to group members.

VTC Insurance Group has been honored with its second “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation”, by the National Association for Business Resources. Over 3,500 companies nationwide were nominated for 2022, and the Troy-based agency is one of only 450 companies recognized for its commitment to employee welfare, enrichment, and human resource excellence. VTC will be honored during the virtual Illuminate Business Summit in February 2023.

October 2022

For the sixth consecutive year, VTC Insurance Group has been named one of Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® by the National Association for Business Resources. The Troy-based agency is being recognized for its commitment to employee welfare, enrichment, and human resource excellence. The achievement will be celebrated at the Best and Brightest Virtual Awards Celebration on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

February 2022

The Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA) will begin efforts to return approximately $3 billion of its surplus to Michigan auto insurance policyholders. Working with the MCCA, insurance providers will issue Michigan drivers refunds in the amount of $400 for every eligible vehicle that had liability coverage as of 11:59 p.m. on October 31, 2021.

December 2021

Now it’s national! VTC Insurance Group has been honored with a Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation, by the National Association for Business Resources. This follows being named Best and Brightest in Metro Detroit five years in a row. This latest award will be recognized during the virtual Illuminate Business Summit in January 2022.

VTC Insurance Group has once again been named among Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies To Work For by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). VTC was recognized at the Best & Brightest Digital Awards Celebration on November 2nd, 2021.

April 2021

The Construction Association of Michigan has released their 2020 Annual Report video, including highlights of VTC’s charitable donations over the year. Also noted was VTC’s expanding presence in west Michigan with the acquisition of the Gates Insurance Agency.

The National Association for Business Resources has named VTC Insurance Group one of the Nation’s Best and Brightest Companies To Work For.® This follows VTC’s recognition as one of Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest for 2017.

Facing rising claims related to their 50-vehicle fleet, Foris Solutions contacted VTC’s Lillian Durham and Amerisure’s Stacy Trent. Their technology solution was innovative and revealing, and when instituted, lowered claims by almost 80%.

To qualify, an agency must demonstrate exceptional market performance over the most recent five-year period. Less than half of Amerisure’s top agencies qualified when the Diamond level was introduced. VTC Insurance Group easily met the requirements.

Hurricanes are capable of producing winds in excess of 155 miles per hour and causing catastrophic damage to coastlines and several hundred miles inland. Additionally, hurricanes can also lead to storm surges along the coast and cause extensive damage from heavy rainfall.
